Director of Research & Development, Peter Hargarten, was recently featured in the March 2010 issue of Food Product Design. Peter, a graduate from Purdue University with a degree in Food Science, spends much of his time partnering with food manufacturers and executive chefs across the country to develop gourmet quality flavors to match their specifications. One such partnership with a well known Indiana restaurant is featured in the “Formulating for Foodservice Case Study”.

Peter has a vast amount of experience and has recently been focused on developing gluten free, all natural and low sodium soup bases and flavor concentrates.

Integrative Flavors has restructured their website to make it easier for customers to locate their entire selection of Low Sodium Soup Bases. Due to the renewed interest in low sodium products in 2010, Integrative Flavors felt it necessary organize it’s website so that customers can quickly navigate to products based on characteristics.

Integrative Flavors was recently audited and approved by QAI for compliance to the USDA National Organic Program. The National Organic Program (NOP) is the regulatory framework that governs organic food.

This recent approval marks the fifth year that Integrative Flavors has been certified organic by QAI. QAI is the leading provider of organic certification services worldwide. Accredited by multiple organizations, QAI’s programs verify organic integrity at each link of the supply chain.

2010 is destined to be an exciting year at Integrative Flavors! The R&D department has a wide array of new products scheduled for release in the next few months. Look for several additions to their line of Natural, Gluten Free and Low Sodium lines of Cook’s Delight soup bases.

Another very exciting event in the near future is the relocation of Integrative Flavors’ Northern Indiana manufacturing facility. After over a year of meetings and planning they will be moving into their new facility in June. This move will allow them the room needed for the continued expansion of their product line.
